The Smart Growth Partnership of Westmoreland County had an awards presentation dinner at the University of Pittsburgh, Greensburg campus. John Cardwell was acknowleded for his tremendous contributions to the Municipality of Murrysville. He is one of the founders of Murrysville Economic & Community Development Corporation and has served as the Executive Director since its existence in August 1999.
On May 11, 2011, MECDC board members, Susan Reese-Hartzell and Georgeanna Spinello, were joined with other women of the Murrysville community.
