SHOP ‘n SAVE had it’s Grand Opening June 26.  Ferri’s former ShurSave store in Murrysville is now under lease with Shop ’n Save operator Ray Charley, who also operates grocery stores in Greensburg.

Independently owned and operated by Ray Charley and his sons, Mike and Tom, the store marks the family’s third Shop’‍n Save.

The 26,000-square-foot store includes fresh produce, prepared food, dairy and frozen foods, a deli, a fresh seafood counter and floral and greeting card departments. Sour dough breads baked from scratch in the store’s stone-hearth oven will be offered at the full service bakery. The store will offer a Perks Card for discounts and Pump Perks to save on fuel purchases at over 130 participating Sunoco gas stations.

The Charleys have been food merchants since 1901 when Ray’s grandfather, Mike Charley, emigrated from Syria at age 16 and sold produce door to door.
