On May 11, 2011, MECDC board members, Susan Reese-Hartzell and Georgeanna Spinello, were joined with other women of the Murrysville 
community. The local residents worked together with MECDC members to show their support by planting flowers in the planters located at the Streetscape area of Old William Penn Hwy. The Murrysville Economic and Development Corporation has always advocated and supported the enhancement of existing business areas to attract more businesses into the Murrysville area.
